Irvine, California-based multifamily owner and operator Avanath Capital Management is expanding its capital-raising platform by bringing on Troy Jenkins as senior vice president of investor relations, according to a news release shared with Multifamily Dive.
In his new role, Jenkins will lead capital-raising initiatives for Avanath’s affordable housing, development and debt funds, as well as foster relationships with investors and consultants, according to the release.

“Troy possesses an intricate knowledge of the real estate investment industry and, through long-term relationships with leading institutions, a deep understanding of investor goals, needs, and considerations in a variety of market conditions,” Daryl Carter, CEO and chairman at Avanath Capital, said in the release. “With experience in investment strategy, management, acquisitions and dispositions, and capital raising through market cycles, he is uniquely positioned to be an exceptional asset to our team as we look ahead to an exciting period and new avenues for growth.”
A 30-year veteran of the real estate industry, Jenkins was most recently principal and director at Toronto-based Avison Young Investment Management, where he led U.S. operations and spearheaded the development of investment and capital-raising strategies. He has also held senior roles at Los Angeles-based American Realty Advisors, New York City-based CBRE Investment Management and Irving, Texas-based Archon Group.
Avanath Capital manages real estate and real estate-related investments and provides property management services through its Avanath Communities division, as well as development through Avanath Investment & Development. The company currently owns and operates 108 properties in 14 states across the country, according to its website.
