• Wellington, Fla.-based multifamily owner, operator and developer Bainbridge Cos. recently named two new vice presidents: Heidi Jehlicka as vice president of marketing and Krista Washbourne as vice president of learning and development.
• Jehlicka and Washbourne each have over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry and multifamily residential management. Jehlicka most recently served as vice president of operations at Orbit Investment, and has held a previous role as senior vice president of marketing and employee development at Bainbridge. 
• Washbourne most recently served as vice president of learning and talent development at Lincoln Property Co. Over the course of her career Washbourne has designed and implemented systems for talent onboarding and performance management, as well as sales and operations programs. 

Dive Insight:

Bainbridge anticipates that Jehlicka and Washbourne will aid in the company’s growth and expansion plans for 2023, including its acquisition, development and management operations, according to a press release.

The firm secured more than $2 billion in transactions in 2022, with the bulk of its expansion focused on properties in North Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, Texas and Virginia. It currently has 40 properties under management or development in Florida, five in Maryland and six in North Carolina. 

Of its properties under development, two are located outside Florida. Bainbridge Market Commons, located in Frederick, Maryland, and Bainbridge Cary, located in Cary, North Carolina, are both expected to start leasing in the spring. 

In her new role, Jehlicka will oversee property and corporate marketing, as well as public relations, from the company’s Wellington office. Washbourne, based in Austin, Texas, will manage Bainbridge’s learning and development platform.
