Wellington, Florida-based apartment owner, developer and manager The Bainbridge Cos. has opened a 283-unit property on the north end of Tampa Bay that draws its design ethos from a seaside halfway across the world.
Bainbridge Bayview’s bright white color palette, large windows and expansive balconies are inspired by Greek coastal architecture, according to Bob Thollander, president of development for The Bainbridge Cos.
“The look and feel of Bainbridge Bayview is inspired by the Greek Islands’ brilliant white edifices and sparkling blue waters, bringing the allure of the Aegean to the shores of Tampa Bay,” Thollander said in a press release. “The decisions about the property, its amenities and strategic location directly on open water… were all chosen with luxury in mind.”
Including Bainbridge Bayview, a total of 44 out of Bainbridge’s 55 apartment properties are located in Florida. The firm has one other property under management in Clearwater — Arabella Clearwater, located on the west side of Tampa Bay — and 12 total in the Tampa Bay area.
The firm secured more than $2 billion in transactions in 2022, with the bulk of its expansion focused on properties in North Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, Texas and Virginia. It currently has one property in Texas, four in Maryland and six in North Carolina.
Bay views
Bainbridge Bayview’s units range from one to three bedrooms, 694 to 1,702 square feet in size. The residential sections are split into a North Tower and a South Tower, which stand five and seven stories tall respectively. The south end of the South Tower houses the property’s largest units, which face Tampa Bay directly from a total of three balconies.
All apartments feature 9-foot ceilings, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, white Shaker-style cabinets, in-unit laundry and a private patio or balcony, many of them overlooking the bay.
The property’s pool is located directly on the water, overlooking a private wooden pier. The amenity package also includes a clubhouse, a private dining suite and outdoor summer kitchen, a coworking space, a fitness center and yoga studio, a pet spa and a dog park.
