Wellington, Florida-based Bainbridge opened a new multifamily development south of the Orlando International Airport in Orlando, Florida, in mid-November. Bainbridge Nona North, a 252-unit, low-rise multifamily property, is located 3 miles from its namesake, the Lake Nona region and master-planned development.
Bainbridge Nona North is The Bainbridge Cos.’ latest development out of over a dozen properties in Orlando. The developer also has a property in Lake Nona itself, Bainbridge at Nona Place, which opened in 2018.
“Bainbridge has a long track record of successful apartment developments located within the Orlando market, [and] 1,100 new units under construction,” Bob Thollander, president of development at Bainbridge, told Multifamily Dive. “We remain bullish on this market due to the favorable forecasted growth in key economic indicators, such as population growth due to in-migration/relocations, household formation, job growth and major enhancements to transportation.”
Situated around the eponymous lake southeast of Orlando, Lake Nona is a 17-square-mile, 11,000-acre master-planned community developed and managed by Winderemere, Florida-based Tavistock Group. The property includes over 5,000 homes and millions of square feet of commercial space, and Johnson & Johnson, KPMG International, the University of Central Florida, the U.S. Tennis Association and Verizon all have offices or campuses within Lake Nona, according to the development’s website.
The property’s proximity to Lake Nona and the Orlando International Airport offer renters easy access to local attractions and necessities, according to Thollander. “The property’s locational characteristics in terms of accessibility to the Greater Orlando market and its projected job and population growth is the major draw to prospective renters.” he said.
Bainbridge Nona North’s exterior has a clean, blue and white panel palette with broad expanses of windows, creating an open feel in the common spaces, while the interior design is beach-inspired, with light wood and brushed metal accents against a cream-white backdrop.
The one-, two- and three-bedroom units range from 795 to 1,466 square feet in size. Each one has a private patio or balcony as well as quartz countertops, plank flooring, smart thermostats, keyless entryways, in-unit laundry and designer fixtures in bathrooms and kitchens.
Amenities include a pet park, a coworking cafe and private office space, a walking trail and fitness stations, electric vehicle charging stations, a saltwater pool with a sundeck and a game room, among other features. Twenty-five detached garages and 50 storage spaces are also available for resident use.
