Latest in lighting

Progress Lighting’s product launches for 2023 include three new and expanded lighting design collections:

• The Goodwin collection, previously available as wall and vanity lighting, now includes a chandelier, semi-flush mount convertible fixtures, foyer lights and mini pendants. The collection has a clean-line design intended to pair with modern decor.
• The Gilliam collection, distinguished by its rounded glass shades, available as a ceiling light, foyer light and chandelier.
• The Cofield collection, featuring etched white cylinder shades, available as pendants, flush mounts and vanity lights. 

Other new products include the Captarent Illuminated Mirror, which features a ring of frosted LEDs around the edge; the Walcott and Wakeford outdoor lighting collections; three new ceiling fan styles and the Surface Mount Cylinder multi-directional LED light.

Mini ceiling cassette

The EZ FIT MLZ-06 Recessed Ceiling-Cassette by Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US offers a smaller edition of a standard ceiling-mount air vent, designed to fit between I-joists common in new construction. It is made for use with both ducted and ductless mini-split and variable refrigerant flow heating systems and is compatible with Mitsubishi Electric’s multi-zone outdoor systems, according to a press release provided to Multifamily Dive.

The cassette operates at a capacity of 6,000 BTU/h. Its adjustable airflow enables it to be installed at any height, and its auto vane control allows users to change the air direction as needed.

Reputation collaboration

Rental industry service provider Rent. has partnered with online reputation management platform Reputation to launch the RentRep. Dashboard, an online reputation, social media and listing management tool for multifamily property managers. 

The FHA-compliant platform, operated by Reputation, allows users to monitor their standing on listing sites and social media platforms and generate a reputation score and roadmap to improvement based on past performance. The platform’s staff will monitor a property’s reviews and craft responses within 48 hours, with the option to send responses to negative feedback to the property team for approval before posting, among other services.

Versatile hardware

The Morris cabinet and appliance pulls are the last addition to Top Knobs’ Morris collection, which is distinguished by its sleek, subtle details and sturdy linear handles. The shape is made to be compatible with a number of other design styles, with a look that sits on the dividing line between transitional and traditional, according to a press release.

Pull sizes range from 3 ¾ cubic centimeters to 18 cubic centimeters, available in gray, chrome, nickel, flat black and honey bronze finishes. The full Morris collection, which takes inspiration from across multiple design styles, also includes three knobs and four other cabinet and appliance pull options.
