The Tempo Nine Mile multifamily development marks the latest phase of new construction at The Point at Nine Mile, a 22-acre master-planned community located near major transportation corridors in Aurora, Colorado.
Tempo Nine Mile is the product of a joint venture between Chicago-based Draper and Kramer and three Denver-based developers — Koelbel and Co., Mile High Development and Urban Roots Development. KTGY is the architect of record for Tempo Nine Mile, and Brinkmann Constructors is the general contractor.
The 255-unit, five-story building will be located next to a future pedestrian bridge, which will connect The Point at Nine Mile to the Regional Transportation District’s Nine Mile Station and the Cherry Creek Reservoir. Units will range from one to three bedrooms, 542 to 1,321 square feet in size, and amenities will include an outdoor pool, community room, fitness center, bike room and rooftop deck, as well as 3,000 square feet of retail space.
“This project marks the next phase of urban redevelopment and placemaking at this key Aurora gateway," said Andrea Amonick, manager of the Aurora Urban Renewal Authority, with whom the joint venture partnered on the project, in a press release. "Upon its completion, The Point at Nine Mile Station will be another example of transit-oriented development that provides our community with a walkable location to live, work and play.”
The full Point at Nine Mile master plan includes grocery stores, banks and restaurants as retail tenants, and another Mile High Development project, The Point Crossing, is expected to open later this year next door to Tempo Nine Mile, offering 63 income-restricted units. The pedestrian bridge across the nearby road is expected to open in 2024.
