Sustainable broadloom flooring
The Dwellings Collection by Mannington Commercial is a new line of broadloom carpet flooring specifically designed for multifamily residential spaces. The 10 carpet styles in this collection include textured cut pile, level cut loop, loop and textured level loop. Each one is available in a choice of four to six colors.
Depending on style, the Dwellings Collection carpets feature either Mannington’s SureSoftSD P.E.D. fiber system, designed for comfort or SureSoft SDNTM, designed for stain and soil resistance. The collection is both CRI Green Label Plus and Mindful Materials certified, according to the manufacturer.
High-performance toilets
Niagara’s Phantom one-piece toilet, engineered specifically for water efficiency, features a proprietary high-powered flush mechanism with vacuum-assist pull and noise-canceling tank. The fixture operates at 0.8 GPF and removes up to 1,000 grams of waste per flush, making it both MaP Premium rated and WaterSense certified.
The toilet has a sleek, modern design with an elongated bowl and integrated trapway for ease of cleaning. Its extra-large footprint allows for an easier installation process and greater coverage of old tile, according to the manufacturer.
Below-grade barrier
Atlas Roofing’s newest polyiso insulation panel, EnergyShield XR, is specifically designed for use below grade, whether in a foundation wall or elsewhere under a building’s slab.
The rigid foam board panels are designed with a closed-cell structure with impermeable facers, which resist moisture absorption and offer a high R-value per inch of panel thickness. With a compression strength of 25 psi, the boards can stand up to backfill and other below-grade pressures, according to a press release shared with Multifamily Dive.
The polyiso is compatible with a number of mastic and flashing products and meets UL Greenguard Gold standards for environmentally responsible manufacturing.
A clean swing
Weather Shield has added a hinged patio door option to its Vue collection of all-aluminum windows and doors. The doors can be hinged to swing to the inside or outside, depending on the room’s space and configuration, and their polyamide design helps to prevent thermal bowing and contributes to structural performance.
Each of the Vue products features clean lines and square interior profiles, and may easily be combined with one another to create larger expanses of glass in a given area, according to the manufacturer. The doors are available in customizable heights of up to 12 feet tall and come equipped with a multi-point steel lock system.
Like the rest of the Vue collection, the hinged patio doors come in a variety of metallic and flat color finishes, which may be individually customized on the interior and exterior. Energy-efficient glazing and Energy Star-rated windows are available as upgrade options.
