Leasing is underway for Hoboken Point, a new, 262-unit property developed by Secaucus, New Jersey-based Hartz Mountain Industries. The property is located on the Hudson River waterfront in Weehawken, New Jersey’s Lincoln Harbor neighborhood, on the northern border of Hoboken across from Manhattan.
Greystar is the property’s manager, and move-ins are expected to begin in late spring.
Hoboken Point is aimed at the area’s “hybrid” professionals who divide their working time between home and the office, according to a press release shared with Multifamily Dive. Its amenities include a 5,200-square-foot coworking center, called the Work Hub, with private conference rooms, videoconferencing facilities and an outdoor terrace with views of the Hudson River.
"In an era where hybrid work models redefine the way we live and work, the concept of home has taken on a new significance," said Gus Milano, president and chief operating officer at Hartz Mountain Industries, in the release. "It’s now more critical than ever to provide an elevated at-home environment that balances work, wellness and leisure.”
The surrounding Lincoln Harbor neighborhood consists of 60 acres of waterfront, with a Whole Foods, a public park system and multiple restaurants nearby. Commuting options include a ferry to Midtown Manhattan and Hudson Yards, as well as the nearby Lincoln Tunnel and an NJ Transit station. The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail station is also only one block away, offering access to Hoboken and Jersey City.
The 15-story building consists of two towers over a white podium capped by an amenity deck, with a mix of white facade work and glass paneling on the exterior. It is surrounded on two sides by a waterfront esplanade that leads into the glass-enclosed lobby. Given the property’s placement, New York City-based architect CetraRuddy’s interior design is inspired by the look of a luxury yacht, with curved lines and wood paneling throughout.
Units range from studios to two-bedroom-plus-den layouts. Each one includes floor-to-ceiling windows with 12- to 14-foot ceilings in certain units; custom white oak flooring; custom closet systems; white lacquer cabinetry; quartz waterfall countertops; stainless steel appliances; and in-unit LG smart laundry machines.
In addition to the coworking center, over 17,000 square feet of amenities include a fitness center and yoga studio, a private dining lounge and demonstration kitchen, a game lounge with a sports simulator, a library, a dog park, and a rooftop pool, spa, and green space.
