Indianapolis-based developer Milhaus is underway on its second development in the Cincinnati suburb of Springdale, Ohio, set to open this spring.
The Slate Springdale property, co-developed with Scottsdale, Arizona-based real estate investment firm Parse Capital, will offer a mix of unit types — 216 garden-style apartments and 90 townhomes — across 22 modern-style buildings, for a total of 306 units.
All units will offer quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, among other high-end finishes, according to the release. Amenities will include a resident lounge, pool and sun deck, a coffee bar, a fitness center and green spaces between buildings. Over 300 surface parking spaces and 180 garage spaces will be available throughout the development.

The property will be located within a 25-minute drive of downtown Cincinnati, near the entrances to I-275 and I-75, according to the release. Numerous golf courses and parks are all close by, along with two international airports, rail system access and retail and restaurant options.
Cincinnati was recently named the No. 1 best place for young professionals by Forbes, and one of the top 100 best cities to live in the United States by U.S. News and World Report. However, over half of the city’s multifamily units were built before 1979, according to the National Multifamily Housing Council.
This, according to Milhaus, creates a need for more modern apartments in the area. The developer’s first Springdale project, Array, leased up quickly after opening in 2023, according to the release.
"With Cincinnati ranking nationally as the best place for young professionals nationwide, Slate will meet the growing demand for luxury living options in this dynamic market, catering to the area's expanding workforce and robust business community,” said Spencer Lee, development manager at Milhaus, in the release.
Milhaus has a total of 7,500 units in its portfolio, spread across 26 properties and totaling over $2 billion in assets under management.
