A new take
The Lado shower bases by Acquabella are fitted with a crescent-shaped drain, visible only as a slit in an otherwise seamless surface. The bases are made from a mineral composite and coated in a non-slip natural stone texture, according to information shared with Multifamily Dive. The surfaces are UV- and shock-resistant, nonporous and may be installed either on top of or recessed into the floor.
Four sizes are available, ranging from 60 by 30 inches to 60 by 42 inches.
Soft focus
The SG6 cabinet design series by SieMatic puts a rounded edge on flat, slim, handle-free surfaces, softening the modern design staple.
Beyond wall-mounted cabinetry, the series includes a kitchen island with a beveled countertop, which may be equipped with a towel bar, shelving and built-in planters for growing herbs; and a panelized wall system with built-in shelves, meant as a transition point from the kitchen to other parts of the living space. The modular system may be configured to suit the needs of the room.
Evolving fraud detection
Multifamily fraud detection program Snappt has enhanced its functions in order to account for inception fraud — the practice of using authentic pay stubs to inflate incomes on fraudulent rental applications. The new Snappt Suite features multilayered fraud detection, allowing managers to verify income and make informed decisions about renters.
The platform has also announced partnerships with property management systems Entrata and ResidentIQ, with the goal of enabling faster screening for users.
Going vertical
Originally only available in a single-hole configuration, the Bel Canto bathroom faucet by California Faucets is now available in a wide-spread format. The new variation has a similar profile with thin lever handles and two spout options — curved or angled. It is made of solid brass and available in a choice of 25 finishes. The full collection includes tub sets, a handshower diverter, bar and prep faucets, bidets and towel bars, among others.
Performance and integration
Proptech firms Lavanda and Utopi have announced a new strategic partnership, in which Lavanda’s OpenPMS property management system now integrates with Utopi’s building data platform, according to a news release shared with Multifamily Dive.
OpenPMS powers leasing, listing and resident experience functions, while Utopi generates data points on building performance, providing insight for temperature control. By combining these two open-source platforms, the partners aim to provide operational benefits for users, including the means to optimize asset and environmental performance and reduce utility costs based on data from both sides.
