Porcelain flexibility
The Crossville Argent 2.0 porcelain tile by AHF Products is patterned after the look of Argent limestone, a rock quarried in Catalonia, Spain, with earthy gray and rusty brown tones. The product line includes seven neutral color options that present a softer, earthy take on natural Argent stone, according to a news release shared with Multifamily Dive.
The tiles may be used for interior flooring, walls or countertops. The porcelain resists scratches, stains, abrasions or burns, and is made up of at least 4% third party recycled content, the company says. Installation options include both 2x2 and angled mosaics with matching bullnose and cove base trims.
Curbside charging
The BeamSpot by Beam Global is a curbside EV charger that also functions as a streetlight replacement. The installation uses solar, wind and utility-generated electricity to power both lighting and charging, the company says.
The product is intended for applications where traditional EV installation can be challenging, such as on-street parking, multifamily housing and public access areas like malls or parks, according to the news release. The product may be powered using existing connections for streetlights, and does not require any additional circuits or infrastructure enhancements.
Multifunctional intercom
The AI1000 Smart Video Intercom is the wall-mounted component of Alocity’s Smart Video Intercom system, which allows owners and residents to manage access control from any of their smart devices.
The intercom console has a 110-degree horizontal and 97-degree vertical field of view, a built-n speaker and microphone for audio communication, HD recording capabilities and an 8-inch color touchscreen, according to the product website.
Visitors can search for tenants from the intercom by name or unit, and users can receive video calls from the intercom directly to their smartphone or computer, or remotely unlock doors through a mobile app. Other access options include facial recognition, fobs, a PIN or a QR code.
Big and small
LX Hausys America Inc. is now offering its Viatera quartz surfacing line in two new sizes: Super Jumbo slabs and 1.5-centimeter-thick slabs. The new size offerings are meant to meet residential and commercial fabrication demands, according to a news release shared with Multifamily Dive.
The Super Jumbo surfaces measure 79 by 138 inches in size and 2 or 3 centimeters thick, recommended for large countertops, islands and other seamless designs. The 1.5-centimeter slabs measure 63 by 126 inches, allowing for an easier fabrication and installation process.
